  • Threat of Peace Issue 5 0 CommentsPosted by Chris on April 29, 2009 under General TOR, News
This last issue of Threat of Peace introduces a character that is clearly a Bounty Hunter, which is appropriate considering that they just announced the Bounty Hunter class a couple of weeks ago.  The Bounty Hunter, named Braden, is on Dantooine tracking the wookiee, Dalborra who works for the Imperial Army. The Bounty Hunter, who is being employed by the Republic, is told to abort his contrac... more.

I spent this past Friday anxiously clicking on "Refresh" in my browser window on http://www.swtor.com just waiting for the new news to be posted as it has been for the past couple of Fridays.  But to my sorrow there was no news on Friday, nor on Saturday, not Sunday either, and here we are on Monday with no new news to speak of. Now as disappointed as I am that there is no news for me to write... more.
  • What’s So Great About Ord Mantell You Ask? 0 CommentsPosted by Jacob on April 16, 2009 under General TOR
We saw the release of another planet by BioWare, Ord Mantell, and obviously we were all excited. We're always excited when there is new content released and we are shown glimpses into what is going to be available in the game. With the release of Ord Mantell and the release of Nal Hutta, we have a few planets to really start playing around with. It sort of makes sense too. On Nal Hutta, we know wh... more.

Alright, alright, I understand that this is old news and I look like a total n00b for posting it now rather than a couple of weeks ago when it popped up, but when I found this new, I had to post it. For those of you that don't know who Drew Karpyshyn is, let me fill you in on who he is, what he has done, and what he might be able to bring to the SWTOR team. Another Friday brings another release of more of the BioWare/Dark Horse comic, Threat of Peace. Once again, I am really excited about the release because there is so much now going on in the game that just makes me tremendously happy. Granted, we don’t know how much of this information is actually going to make it into the game, but what we can come to the conclusion of is that this game is goin... more.
  • Classes Specific to Factions Can Be a Good Thing 0 CommentsPosted by Jacob on April 9, 2009 under General TOR, Predictions and Opinion
After reading the blog post that Chris wrote on Friday about the bounty hunter class and what they are planning for it, I had to take some time to think about it and see how I felt about it. After taking that time, I was able to finally form a pretty good opinion about it. The one part that stuck out to me was that, for the time being, there would be no cross over of classes. If you sign up and de... more.

Today on Bioware's developer's blog, they announced many important details about their recent unveiling of the Bounty Hunter Class.  In this lengthy blog post, the developer also clarified some points on how their game is going to work out. One of the more important points in the blog post is the fact that, initially, Bounty Hunters are only going to be available for the Sith Empire.  After t... more.
  • Timeline 1: Treaty of Coruscant…Woah! 1 CommentsPosted by Jacob on April 2, 2009 under General TOR, News
I am the kind of guy that absolutely loves story in a game. It's why, to this day, some of my favorite games ever made are ones created by BioWare: KOTOR, KOTOR2, Mass Effect. They all had story as one of the principle aspects of the game. They're not just shoot 'em up types of games or "let's change the stats of the sports teams a little" type of game. They are a game that has a unique story. It'... more.

The lastest comic was released on Friday and after taking a look at it, the story continues to unfold. The Sith Lord and the Jedi Knight Orgus go head to head and fortunately for Orgus, just as he is about to be struck down by the Sith, a ship crashes and gives Orgus the distraction he needs to disappear. I look at this and I am a little frustrated in the fact that they make the Jedi appear so wea... more.
