With this past Friday came yet another addition to the repertoire of Bioware and Darkhorse’s “Threat Of Peace” comic series, making it issue # 7 in the Treaty of Coruscant act.
First lets get to the meat of the comic:
This issue mainly follows the two Sith lords, Lord Baras, and Lord Angral, who were at the scene on the attack on Coruscant early in issues 1, 2, and 3. The issue opens up with Lord Baras standing before a Sith council on Korriban being commended for his work on Coruscant and being offered a position of greater responsibility. Lord Baras states that his ambitions take him no further than his current position, so he was dismissed from the meeting.
Upon leaving the Sith Academy, Baras is confronted by Lord Angral. On Coruscant, Lord Angral strayed from the plan and killed the Supreme Chancellor. After a brief sparring with one another, conveniently ending with Lord Baras shooting lightning at Angral, the two of them came to a resolution.
The next page picks up again on the Bounty Hunter, Braden, who was introduced in issue 5 tracking Dalborra the wookiee. Upon falling from the cliff in front of the ferocious wookiee, Braden was taken captive. When the Imperial soldier stationed at Imperial Strike Base 18 on Dantooine told Dalborra that they were transferring Braden to Korriban, the wookiee insisted that the prisoner was his, and that he would be accompanying them back to the Sith home world. The officer reluctantly agrees and informs the Dalborra that wookiees are not welcome on Korriban and that he would be digging his own grave.
Now for a brief analysis:
So Bioware surprised me on this one. The issue after they announced the Bounty Hunter class, Braden the Bounty Hunter was conveniently announced. I figured it would follow suit with the Trooper class announcement. Perhaps Lieutenant Tavus, the Republic soldier seen with Master Orgus on Coruscant, is a Republic trooper, but as of now I am somewhat surprised, but not upset.
It is good to see the Sith side of the coin and the issues that they are dealing with. By Bioware addressing both sides of the coin, the Jedi and the Sith, it makes for a level playing field, each side with their own problems. This is important not to say “These guys are good and these guys are evil,” because at the game’s launc there will be people playing both sides, whether they be good or evil.
Also, I am glad that they gave us an update on Dalborra and Braden, of all of the stories, I believe that one intrigues me the most. I am very curious to see where they take the story with Dalborra and Braden…I smell SITCOM!!!!
What do you think of the comics, we’d love to know!
