Last week, TFAW and TOR Universe put together a contest for two lucky winners to win six issues of the Star Wars: The Old Republic comic. Well, the contest ended at 11:59 PM EST on Friday–last night–and I spent the better part of two hours tallying the results so that I could enter the numbers into a random generator.
The way I tallied the results were simple. I went through the entire newsletter list and pasted all of the emails into an Excel document. I then went through each email and cross referenced it with a comment. If a comment appeared, I then gave a point for everything they did: following on Twitter, joining the Facebook group and retweeting the post. For every point someone got, I copy and pasted their email again. So, if someone did everything, they got four total points.
This left me with a number next to each email. So, someone might have number 56, 57, 58 and 59. If that number appeared at all in the random generator, you got the winner. The generator that I used was random.org. I requested two integers to appear between 1 and 122. Then, random.org spit out two random integers. I cross referenced those two integers to the page and the winners were revealed to me. And, it is without further ado, that I present the two winners.
The winners are:
Ajay M and Zefram Cochrane.
Both of these individuals are going to be emailed personally. I thank everyone for participating in the contest. I thank TFAW for sponsoring it. It was really a great experience and I am glad that so many people got interested. For those that did not win, please head on over to TFAW and consider buying the comics. You can get the first upcoming three for less than $10. And they’ll be sent to you as they are released.
Thanks again for such a great contest!

I am glad you are so thrilled. I hope to stick around on the site and continue to post comments and voice what you think is going to be so great about Star Wars: The Old Republic. And, as one of my friends said who entered the contest, “I don’t care that I lost so long as the people who win actually read the comics.” Enjoy those comics, my friend!
