I can’t understand why people would suggest the Mandalorians weren’t important. They were included in those Timeline posts and they said time and time again that the first series of quests as the BH was to get into the Great Hunt–if my memory stands–which is all about the Mandalorians. So, I can’t understand why people would say they weren’t important.

So i wonder where all those people are who used to say the Mandalorians weren’t important? I used to get hounded about that. Now, with every passing announcement about the game, I’m proved right, and they’re proved wrong. Unfortunately they’ve all gone to crawl away under their rocks so i can’t even say, “Told you so…” to them anymore, LOL

The issue is that there are four factions. Empire, Republic, Sith and Jedi. It would be easy for a Jedi Knight to fall to the Dark Side and become a Sith. The reason I thought it might be possible is because BioWare tends to show “secrets” literature–comics and this book–that are going to pop into the game at a later point, ya know?

Even if someone switches their faction in the book, it does not mean switching would be allowed in game. Some game mechanics just don’t match up with vanilla story. Besides, the classes seem to be pretty faction based, unlike in the original Star Wars: Galaxies where you could drop your faction at will.
