Blood of the Empire: Issue 8

The next issue of the Blood of the Empire series was released on Friday. This issue continues our journey with Teneb Kel as he tries to hunt down the Emperor’s old apprentice. However, most of the comic does appear to be a dream that he is experiencing. This is an interesting twist and it leaves me with one question: who is the guy with that interest face mask? I’ll elaborate more below

If you haven’t had a chance to read it yourself, I won’t ruin it for you. Head over to the SWTOR site and check the comic out yourself. Here’s a basic description about what’s going on in this issue.

In the eighth issue of Blood of the Empireā„¢, Teneb Kel is confronted with a strange and frightening vision of the past, the future, and of his greatest enemy. As he lies broken in the Lenico wasteland, he must seek the truth about Exal Kressh and the Emperor’s goals within his mystical dream–or be utterly destroyed when he returns to reality.

I was reading through the comments about the comic and one of them really stood out for me. “Did you notice that He and Darth Thanaton are wearing the exact same robes, except for the Helmet. So, I am guessing a trial, like Luke on Dagobah,” Malathus said. I look at that and then at the comic and it does leave me wondering.

To begin with, take a look at their robes. They are almost identical save for the helmet. The helmet could be what he would wear when he is more powerful–similar to how Malgus has to wear a face guard now. But, with the robes looking almost identical, it does leave some wondering about whether they are one in the same. If so…Very interesting. But, chances are, we’ll have to wait a bit to find out.

For those that haven’t been following the comics, be sure to check them out either on the site or order them in your hand. The first issue of Treaty of Coruscant is in my hand and they are releasing another one each month. If you want the Blood of the Empire ones, be sure to pre-order them. When you order them, use the coupon code “SUNNYDAY” to get free shipping on orders of $35.00 and more. Can’t beat free shipping.

Anyone liking the comics or am I just crazy? Alexander Freed is doing a great job writing them. I am truly impressed with everything going on in them. Agree? Disagree? Chime in.
