Interview With Animosity Guild

I want to introduce the readers of TORUniverse.com to a new feature that I’ll be doing over the next months leading up to the release of Star Wars: The Old Republic. One of the things a lot of people say about playing an MMO is that if you really want to succeed and level up, you need to be part of a guild. They make the leveling easier and therefore you can enjoy the game more.

Because of this, I felt that it would be a good resource to the readers to hear about the different guilds that are available to join in the TOR universe. While the game has obviously not been released yet, there have been many guilds created. Or, there are guilds that were created for other games and are now porting over to Star Wars: The Old Republic. Regardless, there are a lot of places for players who are preparing for TOR to join up with like minded individuals.

Animosity-Guild.Net

The first guild I decided to interview was animosity-guild.net. They are an Empire leaning guild that is open to all four ranks. They are a PvP guild and specifically, they are into raiding. However, as one of the members explained in the interview, they do focus somewhat on PvE which is exciting.

In the interview, they talked about what they are looking for in a member, what makes their guild great and what they are most looking forward to in the game. Be sure to check out the interview. If you own a guild and want to be featured in an interview, send me an email. If you’re chosen, we’ll let you know.

Enjoy the interview!

Q- “Why are you the best guild?”
A- “We make a lot of updates”

    Fail.

“I compare our guild to a professional sports team”
So professional they troll the official forums and are the most disrespected pre-launch sith guild overall.

I’m on republic side. After looking at the applications and seeing people’s response and all the ‘drama’ these guys cause, wow…just wow. I have never seen so many retracted applications.

How about researching the guilds before you interview them Jacob. This interview was huge fail.

The guild is a larger guild, has many members, and I chose to interview them. If you would like to bring forth another guild that is good, you have my email address. If they troll, that’s their responsibility. That’s not mine. I interviewed a guild and that’s that. If you don’t want to join, that’s okay. But, there are some who will. Like I said, if you have a guild you want me to interview, please email me.

nice work on the site jacob. unfortunately i have to agree with the other comments made. the swtor community isnt very pleased with animosity. they come off as immature and unstable. i wish this was a different guild interview because i like listening to these podcast interviews.

I will be doing future interviews with other guilds. I have readers who aren’t from the SWTOR community and I am trying to offer a service to them by interviewing different guilds. The next one will be a Republic one and then an Empire one. I’ll go back and forth. The point is to provide an opportunity for different players to make their choice. I am not prejudice toward guilds just because a community dislikes them. Each one has the right to say their piece. Thanks for your compliment about the site, though. I hope to see you stick around.

    To all the Haters,

Insulting Jacob is probably not going to get you very far. Insulting our guild isn’t going to do anything but make you look dumb. You don’t like what we have to say? Fine, go be merry and join a different guild.

Are you going to troll everytime a guild has a podcast that isn’t yours?

Please remember to put your tampon in next time.

Thanks again to TORuniverse for giving us the interview. I am sure there will be other interviews with other “Legit” “non-trolling” guilds.

It didn’t take me long to find this:

      “Christ.

When I said I was looking for a guild with zero drama I meant it. The members in this guild possess a monumental amount of jealousy and arrogance. Jealousy towards other successful guilds and completely blind arrogance regardless of who you are.

Get me out of this trial. I’m going to apply elsewhere. “

In response to the ‘retracked applications’- Specific people don’t like us so they feel the need to make fake applications that after we reply to they ‘withdraw’ their application. I don’t mind if people waste their time making a bogus application for us. It doesn’t take much to know if someone is serious about joining or not.

There is obviously a lot of hatred coming from outside of the guild, but it’s nothing but love on the inside c( : So if you want to get out of the hatred join us.

Also if you are going to insult us an try to act smart use proper grammar.

    Thanks Jacob, nice interview.

I disagree with the people trolling.

Animosity is a well established guild and a great community. I think people are just jealous of what their guild has achieved so far.

Great interview everyone. Keep up the good work jacob.

and for Animosity, you are just hated by some of the community because they are jealous of your guild. When TOR comes out I am sure you guys will destroy these trolls.

Wouldn’t have mind some more interesting questions than the standard “how many members ” etc

Also, there’s alot of drama in their history, they might be better off right now but anyone thats been part of the community since they arrived knows that its filled with hate, drama, shenaningans, horrible attitudes among their members, trolling and such. Just borking the latest web site poll by a respected community member through openly breaking the rules and voting for themselves on purpose shows that theyre prob not where they want to be.

Hey Dim – Was my first interview, so I can understand why it sounded a little dry with the questions. If there is anything you would want to hear me ask a guild, feel free to post the question or email it to me. I am trying to do this to help readers find an appropriate guild to join, etc, etc.

Do you really think we are the only ones that voted for ourselfs Dim? you must live a sad little life if you think that.

We have no drama and what hate are you talking about? The fact is the only people who seem to have a problem with us are all in guilds.

    Why is that?

As i said before troll us on the TOR boards not here.

Huh. I see a lot of disrespect. It’s ironic that in the same paragraph you can go so low as to insult every fundamental of our guild in addition to calling us immature “trolls” while doing the very same in the statement made. We are open-minded and completely interactive. We participate in many easy-to-access online games to continue developing player relationships and guild functionality. I encourage anyone interested in an interactive playing experience to come apply an participate.

after reading all these comments im confused. i thought animosity was a pre launch guild that was formed for swtor. how can people be jealous of them if the game hasnt even launched yet? how can their skill and the impact they make in the game be measured if nobody is playing yet? what have they accomplished?

whats even more confusing is that they think its cool to be hated in the community when the game is a year from being released. am i the only one who thinks this is the biggest joke in the world? how much of a little kid do you have to be to think this is a good thing for a guild? or do these nerds think that being hated is very ‘sith-like’ thus it must be cool to be hated.

the community is unanimous in thinking that animosity will either implode before the game launches or get steamrolled hard and ragequit. im thinking the latter. zerg it up!

lol “nerds”. Do you know where you posted this? This is a Star Wars video game fansite. Just thought I would point out the irony.

Also to the point of us imploding- We are a very strong, tight knit community within our community. If there is ever even a small squabble between anyone in our guild we are quick to make amends and not hold grudges. Sometime conflict is imminent and unavoidable so you have to learn how to react and everyone in our guild is taking the hate aimed towards us well. We’re not coming back and saying fuck you, we’re saying keep the hate coming cause it’s only gunna fuel the fire for when SWTOR releases.

BTW we don’t necessarily like the ‘hate’ directed towards us, we just like to be amused. And when people waste their time talking trash about us in comment spaces it amuses us.

lol@ppl who think being hated is cool when the game hasnt even launched yet. especially a pre launch guild that hasnt accomplished anything.

why does animosity act entitled and arrogant when there is no way to measure their skill or impact as a guild. are you measuring by forum posts and pube hairs? LOLLLLL

It hits me as some level of hypocritical when someone is knocking (x) group for their actions before a release, though in the very same paragraphs, are saying (x) group will probably “implode” at release. Smart kids!

Fact – Animosity Will be around when SWTOR Launches

Fact – Animosity Will make an impact on the server that we play on

Fact – We do not care what you Star Wars Fanboys think of us. If you like us, thats great. If you hate us, even better. We could care less of your opinion of us.

Fact – You will get destroyed by us in a battle based on skill. You don’t think so? send me a pm on the official forums and we will put together a little challenge if you will. Our members vs your members. If your not going to put your money where your mouth is, then STFU and move on.

Fact – We were chosen by TORuniverse because whether you like it or not… we are significant guild in the SWTOR community and have already made an impact.

Fact – 99.9% of you have no reason to not like us and probably only do so because deep down you are jealous.

Put your tampons back in and move on.

If you wanna troll you can do so on the official boards. This website is not the place to hold a discussion of your personal emotions. You may not have to respect us, but you can respect Jacob and TORuniverse.

We will absolutely take a challenge from others that think they are better then us. If the circumstances are fair of course and the game being played isn’t trash. If we win we will get better and if we lose then we will get even better. This is what a hardcore prelaunch guild is all about. Putting whatever effort is necessary before SWTOR releases so that we will be the absolute best right when SWTOR hits the shelves. So you can either lose the challenge and be even more mad, deny posing a challenge and play the ‘what if’ game, or you could beat us and make us even better so when SWTOR releases you will have even more to hate about us. But I wouldn’t put money on us losing.

We are progressing in skills when most guilds are just trying to progress in the number of members. We have cycled through a lot of members scouring for the best gamers we can get and people with the right character. The character that can withstand trolling hate.

If everyone hates us then why do we have former members coming into our vent again just to hang out and talk with us. We have former members that are in other guilds that still pop in and say hey to us. We have members that have been apart of other guilds and leave to join us and are now happy being with us. Ask Midnight Squadron if they hate us. They should according to you guys since they are on the SWTOR forums and especially because they are the opposite faction as us.

At the end of the day you can believe anything you want but the most foolish thing to believe is that we wont have a large impact in SWTOR.
