BioWare Has Plans for End Game
0 CommentsPosted by Jacob on July 5, 2010 under News
One of the topics that people have been talking about a lot on the SWTOR forums is what the end game is. At this point, we don't really know anything about the end game, but INC Gamers had an interview with James Ohlen, the lead designer for Star Wars: The Old Republic. While he doesn't reveal details on the end game, that doesn't mean that we should be worried. According to Ohlen, they have a ... more. -

In a recent interview with Computer and Video Games (CVG), Daniel Erickson, the lead design and story writer, said that The Old Republic would not be coming to the console. According to Erickson, no one down in Austin is working on creating a version for the 360 or the PS3. This information is bound to upset people. Erickson told VCG that, "I can tell you that it's not anything that we've even ... more. -

Now, as a lot of you know, I am a big fan of good comics, especially when they are Star Wars comics. It's because of that fact that we are giving away some comics. After leaving E3 as one of the most highly discussed games, it's time to start looking for the next events. Sean from the BioWare team said that they will be at the Star Wars V celebration. But, even cooler than that is the fact that TO... more. -
E3 2010 Multiplayer Demo

In today's news, BioWare released a demo from E3, but this time, there were no interruptions by G4TV. The demo does give viewers a nice appreciation of what combat looks like in the game, but also shows what four players working together can do. What this video provided was a bit of a better understanding on how the four classes would act together. The single most important thing that I saw was t... more. -
TOR Universe and TFAW Comic Book Give Away

Thanks to the incredible generosity of TFAW--Things From Another World--probably the greatest online comic book store, TOR Universe has copies of the upcoming Star Wars: The Old Republic comic books. And, instead of keeping them to read (although it was very tempting), I've decided to, instead, give them away to a couple of readers on TOR Universe. Therefore, I'd like to announce the first contest... more. -

In a write up posted on Gamasutra, and other blogs around the web, it was revealed that BioWare and LucasArts had chosen Monolith Software for its core monitoring and management of the web servers. This is incredible news that leads some to believe that BioWare is right on track to reach their target release date for The Old Republic. Monolith offers BioWare the chance to "visualize their busin... more. -
Beta Testing Rumors Suggest This Weekend

A thread popped up on the SWTOR forum that suggested that Beta was going to start, albeit a tiny one, June 25 and was going to last until June 27. In this thread, it's suggested that only about 100-200 people are going to be accepted at this time to do some beta work and that it is going to be an incredibly short beta. What this looks like to me is a beta of the beta. Not quite an alpha, but not q... more. -

After an amazing week with E3, on Friday, Sean found time to release the latest issue of Blood of the Empire and, remarkably, talked to us for a bit about what was going on in regard to the wrap up for E3 2010. First, we'll look at the comic. Blood of the Empire: Issue Five Issue five of Blood of the Empire was released on Friday and had this little tidbit of information to go along with it. In... more. -
What Happened at E3 Today – E3 2010

To begin with, let me say that E3 has been both amazing and slightly disappointing when it comes to Star Wars: The Old Republic. The only disappointing part was today's G4TV interview where almost nothing new was revealed. But, with some careful dissection, I was able to piece together at least a little speculation. But, we'll get there. I wanted to do a quick wrap up of everything that went down ... more. -
Customized Ships and PvP – E3 2010

According to Hillary Stone at IGN, we've got two things that will be appearing in Star Wars: The Old Republic. The first is space travel and the second is customization to both your space ship as well as your PvP armor, gear and everything else. Information that people have been dying for is finally out. I was right about PvP appearing a little at E3 and I knew there would be space flight mentione... more.
