The Old Republic Will Be at Comic-Con

Now, as a lot of you know, I am a big fan of good comics, especially when they are Star Wars comics. It's because of that fact that we are giving away some comics. After leaving E3 as one of the most highly discussed games, it's time to start looking for the next events. Sean from the BioWare team said that they will be at the Star Wars V celebration. But, even cooler than that is the fact that TO... more. -
TOR Universe and TFAW Comic Book Give Away

Thanks to the incredible generosity of TFAW--Things From Another World--probably the greatest online comic book store, TOR Universe has copies of the upcoming Star Wars: The Old Republic comic books. And, instead of keeping them to read (although it was very tempting), I've decided to, instead, give them away to a couple of readers on TOR Universe. Therefore, I'd like to announce the first contest... more. -
What Happened at E3 Today – E3 2010

To begin with, let me say that E3 has been both amazing and slightly disappointing when it comes to Star Wars: The Old Republic. The only disappointing part was today's G4TV interview where almost nothing new was revealed. But, with some careful dissection, I was able to piece together at least a little speculation. But, we'll get there. I wanted to do a quick wrap up of everything that went down ... more. -
What to Expect and Not Expect at E3 from TOR

The time has come for E3 2010. Video game producers will try and sell their product--or the idea of their product since they're not released yet--and show people why they should be excited about their game. As followers of Star Wars: The Old Republic, we have been waiting for this day since last year's E3. Last year, we got the amazing Deceived cinematic trailer. We also learned that they were goi... more. -
A Look at Combat in The Old Republic

In the Star Wars universe, almost no game can really be a success unless there is some intense combat. While KOTOR I and II were great games, it relied entirely on the story because, truthfully, the combat was nothing. Fortunately, BioWare is looking to make combat a serious addition to TOR. In a recent video documentary, they talked about what combat is going to be like in the game. On top of tha... more. -
Space Travel Likely in The Old Republic

One of the most highly questioned issues in Star Wars: The Old Republic is whether or not there will be space travel. More importantly, there is the wonder of whether there will be the ability to conduct space combat. With the release of Cryptic's Star Trek Online and what appears to be an effective - albeit I haven't played yet - attempt at space combat, it has left some people wondering if BioWa... more. -
Threat of Peace: Treaty of Coruscant

With a tentative release date for Star Wars: The Old Republic, one of the things I felt was incredibly important for all players was to have a firm grasp of the story. For those that have been following TOR Universe since we launched in December of 2008 or for those that have been following since our relaunch a month ago, one of the things you know is that story is the most important aspect for me... more. -
28 BTC to 0 ATC: The Old Republic Timeline as of Now

With five down and thirteen more to go, Bioware's "Timeline" series narrated by Kel Dor Master Gnost-Dural (voiced by Lance Henriksen) is doing a fantastic job of keeping us up to speed on what has bought the galaxy into such a state of disarray and chaos. Going in reverse chronological order, Bioware has been breaking down the monumental events that led to the eventual forced signing of the Tre... more. -
The Sith Empire, Revan and What It All Means

For those that have been following TOR Universe for a while know that one of the biggest things I am looking forward to in Star Wars: The Old Republic is the immense story. There is so much information that we have really not had the liberty of witnessing that every time something comes out, I suck it up. For example, when the Timeline video was released on Friday, I immediately had to watch it ab... more. -
A Look at Tython

As we continue our journey to look at every planet, we move from Balmorra to Tython. Tython is a planet rich in history and has an immense amount of enjoyment and intrigue to add to the game. It was here that everyone who had experienced the forced converged with the hopes of learning a thing or two more about what it was. It was also here that a great war was fought over how the Force should be u... more.
