Space Travel Likely in The Old Republic

One of the most highly questioned issues in Star Wars: The Old Republic is whether or not there will be space travel. More importantly, there is the wonder of whether there will be the ability to conduct space combat. With the release of Cryptic's Star Trek Online and what appears to be an effective - albeit I haven't played yet - attempt at space combat, it has left some people wondering if BioWa... more. -

As we continue our journey to look at every planet, we move from Balmorra to Tython. Tython is a planet rich in history and has an immense amount of enjoyment and intrigue to add to the game. It was here that everyone who had experienced the forced converged with the hopes of learning a thing or two more about what it was. It was also here that a great war was fought over how the Force should be u... more. -

Over the past couple of months, Bioware has been releasing small portions of gameplay footage, giving the rest of the world a good idea of how TOR will play, and what it will look like towards the time of it's release. As far as gameplay style goes, it looks like the game will behave very similarly to most other MMO's, combining real time combat with background dice rolls. With the new gamepla... more. -
A Look at Balmorra

When trying to win a war, the most important thing necessary to have victory is a consistent flow of weapons and armaments.Without this continuous flow of weaponry, the soldiers on your side will be unable to continue fighting and the advancements made by the opposing side will prove to be your downfall. With this in mind, it was incredibly important for the Republic to keep hold of Balmorra again... more. -

As much as we haven't really talked about PAX, there was a lot of information there that really give some interesting components to TOR that many people, including myself, were curious about. After a long and grueling summer, TOR Universe is back. Or, I'm back. Chris was always here. Anyways...I spent the summer watching a lot of what was going on with TOR and more importantly, trying to determine what exactly was going to be the next week's news. I missed out on publishing articles about a ton of comics as well as some other things, but what I've constantly been trying to determine is... more. -

I spent this past Friday anxiously clicking on "Refresh" in my browser window on http://www.swtor.com just waiting for the new news to be posted as it has been for the past couple of Fridays. But to my sorrow there was no news on Friday, nor on Saturday, not Sunday either, and here we are on Monday with no new news to speak of. Now as disappointed as I am that there is no news for me to write... more. -
Classes Specific to Factions Can Be a Good Thing

After reading the blog post that Chris wrote on Friday about the bounty hunter class and what they are planning for it, I had to take some time to think about it and see how I felt about it. After taking that time, I was able to finally form a pretty good opinion about it. The one part that stuck out to me was that, for the time being, there would be no cross over of classes. If you sign up and de... more. -

I remember the first time that I ever played World of Warcraft. My brother had the highest level he could have on his character (I can’t remember what kind) and he had to go to bed because of school and I was already off for Summer break. So, I played the game. He said to me to wake him up if I came across any gear in the raid that was purple because that was the best gear to get. I was think... more. -

When I look at Star Wars, there are a few things that are absolutely certain. There is going to be some sort of a space battle, blasters galore are going to appear, and most importantly, there is going to be an epic lightsaber battle between a Jedi and a Sith. The Sith always has the name "Darth something." A quick recap of the movies, you've got: Darth Maul, Darth Tyrannus, Darth Sidious, Darth V... more.
